TIGER AIRWAYS TO LAUNCH DAILY FLIGHTS BETWEEN PHNOM PENH AND SINGAPORE
Tiger Airways (Tiger) is growing its paw print in Indochina with daily flights from Phnom Penh to Singapore. The inaugural flight will take off on 1 October 2012. This is Tiger’s first foray into Cambodia, and follows hotly on the heels of the launch of new flights between Hyderabad and Singapore on 27 September 2012.
Tiger, one of the leading low cost carriers in Asia, has been steadily growing its network, which now extends to over 35 cities in the region. Earlier this year, it launched new services to Dhaka, Kochi and Colombo.
“Cambodia has made great strides over the past decade to become both a tremendously popular tourist destination and a business hub in the region. Tiger Airways is glad to be able to contribute to the country’s continued growth by further strengthening its international air links, offering travellers more choices of flight to better serve thier needs, be it for business or leisure,” Said Tiger Singapore’s Managing Director, Stewart Adams.
“The new service will provide more convenience and ease of access to Cambodian travellers looking to discover the many side of multi-faceted Singapore – from exploring the city state’s latest attraction, Gardens by the Bay – which spans 101 hectares houses more than a quarter of million rare plants, experiencing the vibrant city nightlife by the river at Clarke Quay, to experiencing Hollywood right here in Southest Asia’s first Universal Studio.” he added.
Promotional fares to the lion city are now available from USD 60 one-way (Phnom Penh to Singapore) all-inclusive and SGP 78 one-way (Singapore to Phnom Penh) all inclusive. The fares are available till 18 July, for travel from 1 October 2012 till 31 March 2013.
